What cars does the 2JZ fit?

2JZ-GTE vs 2JZ-GE, and VVTi vs non-VVTi
The 2JZ-GTE is the sequential twin-turbo version — 8.5:1 compression, oil-and-water-cooled turbos, factory-rated 276 hp in Japan and 320 hp in export Supras. The 2JZ-GE is the naturally aspirated 10.0:1 version from the GS300, IS300 and Aristo NA; it is a genuinely good engine but the pistons are not built for boost without work.
The bigger buying decision is VVTi vs non-VVTi. Non-VVTi (1993–1997) uses the CT12B/CT20B turbos and is the simpler platform for a single-turbo conversion — no variable cam timing to control. VVTi (1997–2002) makes better low-end torque and has a stronger factory setup, but wants a standalone ECU and VVTi-aware tuning. Neither is wrong; pick based on what your ECU and harness can handle.

Engines are sold as a long block with the accessories shown in the listing photos. Turbos, harness, ECU and transmission are included only where the listing says so — read the photos, they are of the actual unit. Every engine is compression tested and its serial number is recorded against the listing; we send you photos and the serial before it ships, and you approve before it leaves the warehouse.
