The 2JZ-GTE is Toyota's 3.0L twin-turbo inline-six — the engine that made the Supra a legend and still the benchmark for iron-block strength. JDM Alliance imports 2JZ-GTE VVTi engines directly from Japan and stocks them at our Dallas warehouse for local pickup or crated freight nationwide.

Our units are VVTi-generation engines pulled from the JZA80 Supra RZ and the JZS161 Aristo V300 — Japan's Lexus GS twin turbo. The VVTi 2JZ-GTE ran in Japan from late 1997 onward; the USDM 1993–1998 Supra Turbo used the earlier non-VVTi version, so a VVTi engine going into a US Supra needs a standalone ECU or a VVTi-capable harness and tune. Most of our 2JZ-GTE stock goes into swaps — Supras, Chasers, S-chassis, BMWs, trucks — where the VVTi engine's cheaper price and factory oil squirters make it the smart starting point. Aristo-sourced units are automatic-spec from the factory; the block is identical, and manual conversion is handled at the flywheel and ECU. Our engines typically run 45,000–70,000 miles, documented from the auction sheet.
Each engine is sold as a long-block assembly with factory sequential twin turbos where pictured: block, head, valvetrain, oil pan, timing components and turbochargers as shown. You transfer or source separately: wiring harness, ECU, intercooler and piping, accessories and mounting hardware. The engine in the photos is the actual unit you receive, and we confirm the serial with you before it ships.
Every 2JZ-GTE is compression-tested, its auction grade is documented, and it is photographed as the actual unit. As a performance/upgrade engine, the 2JZ-GTE carries a 30-day warranty plus a 30-day return window, both starting the day the engine arrives.
2JZ-GTE pricing varies with mileage and container timing — check the current listings below for live pricing, with free local pickup in Dallas and flat-zone crated freight to the lower 48. Before first start-up: replace the valve cover, oil pan and rear main seals while the engine is out, prime the oil system, and inspect turbo shaft play and wastegate actuators. Plan your engine management before the engine lands — VVTi control is the piece most swap headaches trace back to. Have a certified mechanic handle the install — it's also a warranty condition — and change the oil again after the first 500 miles.
The block bolts to the usual JZ-pattern transmissions (R154, V160/V161, A340 and common swap adapters). Because the VVTi engine differs from the USDM non-VVTi version, plan on a standalone ECU or a VVTi-ready harness and tune rather than reusing a stock US Supra ECU.
Typically 45,000–70,000 miles. Japanese vehicle inspection costs push cars out of service early, which is why JDM engines average far lower mileage than US junkyard pulls.
Performance/upgrade tier: 30 days plus a 30-day return window, starting the day the engine arrives. Claims go to warranty@jdmallianceusa.com with your invoice, installer certification and compression readings.
