Each engine is sold as a long-block assembly: block, heads, valvetrain, oil pan and timing components. This is an engine-only sale — you transfer or source separately the intake manifold and plenum, exhaust manifolds, wiring harness, ECU, sensors, and accessories (alternator, power steering, A/C) plus mounting hardware. The engine in the photos is the actual unit you receive, and we confirm the serial with you before it ships.

Before first start-up: replace the valve cover, oil pan and rear main seals while the engine is out, and consider fresh timing chain guides and a water pump while access is easy — the VQ's chain runs in the front cover and is far cheaper to service on a stand. Confirm your oil pan matches your chassis before install. Fill with fresh oil and coolant, have a certified mechanic handle the install — it's also a warranty condition — and change the oil again after the first 500 miles.
